Deja Vu

Each of the two nearly identical channels, A and B, has a FADER input, an ADD input, a fader and an output with a green/red indicator for polarity and voltage. A FADER MODE switch sets the fader to attenuate or attenuvert the FADER input, with the ADD input summed into the result. A third mode crossfades between the FADER and ADD inputs, which suits performance macro controls. When nothing is patched to FADER, the fader works as a voltage source that can stand alone or offset the ADD input.

A FADER GAIN switch selects 1x, 2x or 10x gain. The 10x setting uses a low-noise pre-amp and can convert line-level signals to Eurorack level; a back jumper changes it to 5x. If channel A's output is not patched, it is mixed into channel B's output, giving a four-input mixer when all inputs are in use. This cascading can be disabled with a back jumper.

The module handles both CV and audio. Typical uses include attenuator, attenuverter, crossfader, pre-amp, panner, saturator with bias, stereo or four-channel mixer, feedback mixer for effects, unipolar/bipolar converter and trigger combiner. Several units can be chained through back jumpers, and it is suggested as a companion for adding direct controls to Bastl Neo Trinity.
