Toro

The TORO is a Eurorack module that reproduces the sound of the Taurus I bass synthesizer. Two voltage-controlled oscillators can be detuned against each other to give a thick, low-end sound, and the five-octave range also allows it to be used for lead lines.

Four sound presets are provided: Toro, Tuba and Bass, which are set up to match the original instrument's character, and Variable, which opens up all the controls for manual editing. The front panel keeps the familiar layout, with Filter and Loudness knobs, a Tune control and the Beat knob.

For integration, the module has separate CV, Filter and Gate inputs and offers full MIDI implementation. It is built to fit a standard Eurorack case: it is powered through the case's power cables and fixed with the supplied mounting screws, so it can be combined with other modules.
