XR12

The XR12 is a compact digital mixer with no physical fader surface; all mix parameters are adjusted through free control apps for iOS, Android, and PC/Mac/Linux. It offers four Midas-designed mic preamps, eight line inputs, a main L/R bus and six aux buses for monitor mixes or a dedicated recording mix. Each input channel has a low-cut filter, 4-band parametric EQ, gate and compressor, with Expert and Simple modes for the dynamics. A 100-band real-time analyzer is available on channel and bus EQs.

Onboard processing includes four true-stereo effects engines taken from the X32 console, with reverbs, compressors, equalizers, delays, modulation and other models inspired by classic hardware. X AIR Gain Sharing automatically manages levels across several open microphones, which suits panel discussions and similar setups.

For connectivity, the mixer has a built-in WiFi module that works as an access point for up to 4 clients or joins an existing wireless network as a client. It also has an Ethernet port for wired control, a MIDI I/O port for external controllers such as X-TOUCH or B-CONTROL, with Mackie Control protocol support, and a front USB type-A port for stereo recording to flash media or hard drives, file storage and system updates. Rack ears and protective bumpers are included.
