The MP230 is a small stereo speaker styled after radios of the 1950s and 1960s. It has an MDF wooden enclosure, mesh grille and piano-key style buttons. Two 48 mm full-range drivers are paired with a large dual passive radiator to widen the sound field in a compact body.
A Class-D amplifier drives the speaker, with DSP processing used to tune the sound. Rated RMS output is 10W + 10W, with frequency response from 70Hz to 13kHz. Thickened foot pads with spherical contact surfaces help isolate vibration and keep the unit stable.
Wireless playback uses Bluetooth 5.0. Wired and local sources are also supported: AUX input, a USB-C port and a TF card slot. A built-in 2500mAh lithium-ion battery gives up to 9 hours of Bluetooth playback per charge, depending on volume, temperature and playlist.
