The Small Clone is an analog chorus effect in a compact pedal. It is a reissue of the well-known chorus design popularized by Kurt Cobain. The Depth switch sets how much the signal's frequency is shifted, and the Rate knob sets how quickly the effect moves between raising and lowering the frequency. Together they cover sounds from clear, rich and dimensional to warm, pulsating warbles.
The pedal uses a fully analog circuit and works in mono, with one audio input jack and one audio output jack. A footswitch engages and disengages the chorus, and true bypass keeps the signal path unaltered when the effect is off.
Power comes from a 9V battery, which is included. An optional 9.6VDC 200mA power adapter can be used instead but is not included. Current draw is 12mA. An owner's manual is available for download from the maker.
