Super Space Drum
Analog drum synthesizer in a pedal-sized die-cast case, a reissue of a 1979 design. It makes kicks, toms and sci-fi percussion from a swept oscillator, and suits players who want synthesized drum sounds triggered by a button, a drum pad or a clock.

The Super Space Drum generates percussion with analog circuitry. Each hit is a frequency sweep: the Start and Stop knobs set where the sweep begins and ends, and the Time knob sets how long it takes. A modulation section with its own on/off switch, Depth and Rate controls adds more movement. Sounds range from deep kicks to high toms and sci-fi effects.
It can be triggered from the white pushbutton in the centre of the logo, from an external non-MIDI electronic drum pad, or from most clock generators. The Sens knob adjusts how sensitive the unit is to an external trigger. An Aux input also lets an outside sound source run through the gated amplifier.
Connections are a quarter-inch external trigger jack, a quarter-inch Aux input and a quarter-inch mono output. Power comes from the supplied 9.6VDC 200mA adapter, or from a 9V battery, which is not included. The maker lists the Clockworks Rhythm Generator/Synthesizer and the 8 Step Program analog expression/CV sequencer as suitable companions for triggering.
