Description
The 7350A is a networked active subwoofer in the Smart Active Monitoring range. It extends low frequency response and takes bass duties off the main monitors, which raises headroom for the rest of the system. It is positioned as a companion to the 8320A and 8330A monitors.
A 205 mm magnetically shielded cone driver is fed by a 150 W Class D amplifier and loaded by a reflex enclosure with a built-in spiral port. Bass management routes low frequencies from the main channels and the LFE channel to the subwoofer, and the LFE level can be set to 0 or +10 dB relative to the main channels. Intelligent Signal Sensing drops the unit into a sleep state below 0.5 W when no signal is present, and protection circuitry limits the output level to guard the driver.
Analogue and AES/EBU digital XLR connections are provided, plus two RJ45 sockets for the GLM network. With the GLM software and the separately sold GLM Calibration Kit, the system measures the room and adjusts level, delay and crossover phase so that the subwoofer and monitors work together. Settings can be stored in the unit itself.
