Statement4

Statement4 is a low output moving iron cartridge built on Grado's patented flux-bridger principle, in which a very light moving assembly works with a fixed coil. It sits in the Lineage Series and uses a Brazilian Ebony wood body that is shaped to reduce mass, help control resonance and make the cantilever easier to see during alignment.

The stylus is a nude Shibata diamond on a machined boron cantilever. Internal wiring uses 7N OCC copper, and the components and final assembly go through cryogenic treatment. The internal structure is damped to limit resonance. The cartridge is described as balanced, with a smooth top end, a present midrange and defined bass.

It is rated for a 1.6-1.9 gram tracking force and a 10-47k ohm input load, and it is intended for use with a high-gain phono stage. It is offered in stereo and in mono, with the mono version sold as a special order with no returns.
