The CONTOUR X CX 8 is a passive, bass-reflex two-way cabinet that combines an 8" neodymium cone driver with a 1" neodymium compression driver. It is rated at 300 W RMS (600 W program, 1200 W peak) into 8 ohms and reaches a maximum peak SPL of 127 dB. A 24 dB/octave crossover splits the signal at 2.2 kHz, and the constant-directivity horn, developed with BEM simulation, gives a rotatable 80° x 60° coverage pattern.
The cabinet is built from birch plywood with a PU coating in jet black and a steel front grille backed with acoustic foam. It has four M8 rigging points, an integrated carrying handle and a pole mount with a 3° tilt. The enclosure can also be angled at 30° as a monitor or set to 90° as a front-fill. It can serve as a stage monitor, a front-fill at the stage edge, or a compact club PA top with a CS 118 or CS 218 subwoofer.
Connection is through two NL4 Speakon inputs and two NL4 Speakon parallel outputs, with switchable pin assignment. DSP presets are available for Lab.gruppen IPX and IPD series, Lake and Powersoft Armonia+ amplifiers.
