Description

The CA501 is a console-style digital piano in Kawai's Concert Artist range. It uses the Grand Feel Compact wooden-key action, which reproduces the touch weight of the larger Grand Feel actions in a smaller form, and plays sounds recreated from the SK-EX Competition Grand piano using Harmonic Imaging XL.

Sound comes from a redesigned motherboard and a four-speaker, 100W system with 360° diffuser panels intended to give a clear sound with low distortion. Playing modes include Dual, Split and Four Hands, with a range of instrumental voices, a metronome and built-in lessons for practice.

It connects through Bluetooth for both MIDI and audio, and records and plays back audio over USB. The cabinet has a flat fascia and a tall upper board in the style of a traditional grand piano, with a metallic KAWAI logo on the fallboard. It is available in Satin White, Satin Black and Rosewood finishes.
