The R-14PM is a powered speaker pair that rolls amplification, source switching and a phono stage into the cabinets. Each speaker uses a 3/4" aluminum-diaphragm compression driver on a 90° x 90° square Tractrix horn, together with a 4" copper spun, magnetically shielded IMG woofer. Total system power is 70W.
A built-in phono preamp with a ground screw terminal lets a turntable connect directly. Other analog sources use the 3.5mm or RCA line inputs, while digital sources can use the USB or optical inputs. A subwoofer output allows a separate sub to be added.
Bluetooth wireless with aptX supports streaming from phones and tablets. A remote control handles day-to-day operation, and the speakers are described as suited to TV, PC, Bluetooth and turntable use without a receiver.
