The Oxygen 25 (MK IV) is a USB MIDI performance controller built around 25 full-size, synth-action velocity-sensitive keys. Alongside the keys it has eight velocity-sensitive pads for beats and clip launching, eight assignable knobs for plugins and virtual instruments, and an assignable fader suited to master level or track mixing. Dedicated transport buttons and track up/down buttons let you run play, stop and record in a DAW without the mouse, and an LCD screen shows parameter feedback.
DirectLink maps the controls automatically to popular DAWs including Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Logic and Cubase. Built-in mapping presets also cover effect plugins and virtual instruments. A sustain pedal input is provided for extra expression.
The controller is USB-powered, class-compliant and works over USB-MIDI, so no separate power supply is needed. It can also be used with iOS devices via the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit, which is sold separately. The software bundle includes Ableton Live Lite, AIR Music Tech Xpand!2, VIP3.0 and the Touch Loops sample collection.
