The Silver Jubilee 2555X is a two-channel valve guitar head in a black finish with silver styling. The lead channel provides higher gain for 80s-style distortion, and a pull rhythm clip on the input gain control adds extra grit, which is audible even at lower volumes. A channel pull switch on the output master changes between the two channels.
Output can be switched between 100W and 50W so the amp suits both rehearsal rooms and quieter spaces. The power section uses four EL34 valves, while the preamp uses ECC83 valves, including one as phase splitter. Tone is shaped with treble, middle, bass and presence controls, plus lead master and output master.
The head has one instrument input and a footswitch input. Outputs are five speaker jacks covering 16Ω, 8Ω and 4Ω loads, plus a DI jack. A single series effects loop is fitted. The amp is designed, engineered and built in the maker's factory in Bletchley, England, and ships with a detachable power cable and speaker cable.
