The Studio Jubilee Head is a two-channel valve amplifier head in Marshall's Studio range, based on the split-channel design of the 1987 Silver Jubilee. It offers clean, lead and rhythm sounds, and a power switch lets the output be set to either 20W or 5W, so the same amp can be used at home or on a small stage.
The preamp uses two ECC83 valves with a further ECC83 as phase splitter, and the power stage uses two EL34 valves. Controls are input gain (pull for rhythm clip), lead master, output master (pull for channel switching), treble, middle, bass and presence. The EQ is the same as on the Silver Jubilee 2555X Vintage Reissue Head. The amp has no built-in effects but includes a switchable series effects loop.
For connections, there is one 1/4" instrument input and a footswitch input. Output is through five 1/4" speaker jacks covering 16Ω, 8Ω and 4Ω loads, plus a 1/4" DI output. The head is built at the Bletchley factory in England, uses some hand-soldering, and weighs 10 kg. A detachable power cable is supplied.
