2MR Black

The 2MR Black is the top model of the 2MR series. Its newly developed body is 3 mm lower than a standard cartridge, so it fits low-profile turntables without spacers or modifications and mounts with two screws.

The motor system uses quad coils with split pole pins and silver-plated OFC coil wire. The stylus is a nude Shibata diamond on an aluminium cantilever, with a slim, highly polished profile that gives a wide contact area against the groove walls. This is meant to bring out fine detail across the whole spectrum, including the highest frequencies.

It works with every 2M stylus, so the stylus can be swapped between the 2M Red and the 2M Black LVB as a collection and budget grow. The cartridge uses a half inch mount and is recommended at a tracking force of 1.5 g with a load capacitance of 150 to 300 pF.
