MC Quintet Mono

The MC Quintet Mono is a moving-coil cartridge made for mono microgroove records. Its nude elliptical stylus (r/R 8/18 µm) is intended to track worn and damaged records well and keep surface noise under control. The sound is described as open and dynamic with a slight touch of warmth.

The output is strapped, so both sets of pole pins deliver the same signal. This removes the need for mono-specific equipment and lets the cartridge be used on any stereo playback system. The body is made of light, impact-resistant PC thermoplastic, the coils use pure 4-nines silver wire, and neodymium magnets are used to reach the output level. Low internal impedance (5 Ohm) makes it less sensitive to load and suits a wide range of preamps and transformers.

The aluminium frame has threaded holes for top mounting with the supplied 5 mm or 7 mm screws, depending on headshell thickness. It fits a half-inch mount, and the square body with visible stylus helps with alignment.
