Description
The ES50 is a passive floor-standing tower speaker using a 2.5-way cascaded crossover with two 5.25" mica-reinforced polypropylene woofers and a 1" Terylene dome tweeter. The tweeter is Hi-Res Audio certified and reaches 40 kHz. The speaker is also described as compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X setups.
Bass output is helped by a Power Port design that guides air from the port into the room to reduce turbulence. The cabinet is made from damped Medite MDF with internal bracing to limit resonances. A magnetic, anti-diffraction grille can be taken off.
Connection is through dual gold-plated 5-way binding posts. The speaker works with 4 and 8 ohm amplifier outputs and accepts 40 to 200 watts per channel. It is offered in black, white (matte finish) and brown, and one unit is supplied per purchase.
