The Qi80C is the largest and most powerful model in the Q Acoustics professional in-ceiling range. It combines an 8-inch woofer with a 3/4-inch (19 mm) swivelling tweeter. It is rated for 15-60W program power into a nominal 8 ohm load, with 88 dB sensitivity and a low-frequency response of -3 dB at 63 Hz.
The Q Install design pairs a very slim bezel with a narrow-mesh magnetic grille that clips firmly into place. This keeps the larger-diameter speaker visually unobtrusive in a ceiling. Protective driver dust covers are fitted, and the grilles are cloth-backed so they can be painted.
The speaker needs a 248 mm cutout and a maximum rear depth of 87 mm, with a round outer size of 281 mm. It is supplied as a pair. Fire and acoustic hoods are listed as recommended accessories.
