Exo-Pod

The Exo-Pod takes a balanced line-level XLR input and distributes it to ten XLR outputs and four 3.5mm TRS jacks. The XLR outputs suit recorders and press-feed boxes, while the TRS jacks are meant for video cameras, handheld recorders, tablets and other media systems. All outputs are transformer isolated, which helps prevent hum and buzz caused by ground loops.
A set-and-forget input trim lets the technician lower the global output level locally. Each XLR output has its own ground lift switch for further noise reduction. The input accepts levels up to +24dB and works with a standard +4dB line feed from any mixer.
An XLR thru connector lets several units be daisy-chained, so the system can grow to dozens or even hundreds of outputs for larger events. The unit is passive and needs no power. It can also feed the mic-level inputs of PA speakers in a meeting room, in addition to the press gallery.
