Gold Digger
The Gold Digger is a passive 4-input, 1-output microphone selector for studios. It lets an engineer switch between up to four microphones into a single preamp, with per-input trim and switchable 48V phantom power, so mics can be compared without re-patching.

The Gold Digger routes four inputs to one output so that several microphones, or other balanced sources, can be auditioned through the same preamp and signal path. Each input has its own trim control, which is set once so that the microphones play back at similar relative levels. Every input also has a separate 48V phantom power on/off switch, so condenser microphones can be powered only when needed and dynamic or ribbon types are left alone.
The signal path is straight-wire, with no added coloration, noise or distortion. Because all sources pass through the same preamp, level-matched A/B comparison is a fair one. Beyond microphone shoot-outs, it can be used to compare direct boxes, or in live work to send as many as four wireless systems to a single PA input channel.
It pairs with the Radial Cherry Picker, which switches between preamps, so that any of four microphones can be matched with any of four preamps. Rack mounting is possible with the optional SA series rack adapter, and an included power supply is listed under the product resources.
