Osiris

The Osiris is a dual-mono integrated amplifier built in a CNC-machined aluminium case. It uses a minimalist signal path with a passive volume control and a single stage of power amplification between the inputs and the speakers. It is rated at 162 W per channel into 8 Ω and 250 W into 4 Ω.

The output stage uses eight Sanken 200 W transistors in a triple high-current arrangement, intended to drive demanding speakers. Power comes from two 400 VA toroidal transformers and 40,000 µF of K-Power smoothing capacitance per channel. The input, display, microcontroller and protection circuits run from their own dedicated supplies, separate from the audio supplies.

There are four line inputs and one balanced XLR input, plus a direct input and a record output. A CNC remote handset and a reference mains lead are supplied. The amplifier is designed to pair with Rega's Isis and Valve Isis CD players, the Aura MC phono stage and the Planar 10 turntable. It has no power management function, because it needs time to reach a stable bias temperature.
