RP6

The RP6 is a belt-drive turntable built around a lightweight plinth with phenolic resin bracing placed between the tonearm mount and the main bearing. The bracing is meant to keep the structure rigid while limiting the mass that could absorb energy or pass motor and bearing noise into the record.

The platter is made from two layers of float glass. A second ring is bonded to the underside with a UV-cured adhesive, which adds mass at the outer edge to steady the speed. An aluminium top hub adaptor with a six-point mounting system holds the platter and record flat for the stylus. A 24V twin-phase synchronous motor, with an anti-vibration circuit tuned to each unit, drives a CNC machined pulley and sub-platter through the belt.

The external TT-PSU power supply generates a crystal-locked sine wave with less than 0.05% distortion, unaffected by mains voltage changes, and handles electronic speed change. The hand-assembled RB303 tonearm has a new tube and a stainless steel balance weight. A factory-fitted Exact moving magnet cartridge is available as an option and is recommended by the maker.
