M600

The M600 is the top manual model in the Rekkord range. It is a belt-drive deck with a sub-chassis, built into a vibration-damped MDF plinth offered in satin and piano black. The platter is aluminium with a damping compound inside, which adds mass for steadier speed and reduces resonance. Speeds of 33, 45 and 78 RPM are selected electronically and driven by a regulated DC motor.

The 8.6" aluminium tonearm was designed for this turntable. It is height-adjustable, uses a four-way ball gimbal bearing machined from solid aluminium blocks and has a torsion-resistant carbon headshell. Tracking force is set with a massless adjustment that places the centre of gravity at the bearing centre, and the arm comes with tracking force and anti-skating pre-adjusted.

The turntable can be ordered with an Ortofon Quintet Red moving-coil cartridge already set up. The output is a phono RCA cable with a separate ground lead, so it needs a phono input or a phono stage. Power comes from an external 15 V DC supply, and a dust cover and singles adapter are included.
