The FA-07 combines a sound engine, sequencer and sampler in one 76-note keyboard. Its tones come from the INTEGRA-7 module, covering SuperNATURAL acoustic, synth and drum sounds plus PCM synth and drum kits. Tone Remain lets one sound change to another without cutting off notes or effect tails. Two wave expansion slots take additional sounds downloaded from the Axial library.
A 16-track sequencer supports non-stop loop recording and step recording, and songs can be exported to an SDHC card as a stereo mix, multitrack audio or MIDI. The sampler, based on the SP-404SX, plays from 16 pads across 4 banks and loads from SDHC cards. Effects include 16 independent MFX systems, Total Effects (TFX), and six Sound Modify knobs for real-time tweaking. Studio sets can send MIDI messages to external gear, so the unit can act as a master controller.
For connection, the FA-07 has a USB computer port that works as an audio and MIDI interface, a DAW Control button for control maps, MIDI in and out, guitar/mic and line inputs, and main, sub and headphone outputs. Ableton Live Lite is included.
