This right-handed solid-body guitar follows the Esquire layout: a poplar body with gloss polyurethane finish and binding on the top and back edges, a maple neck with a "C" profile and a tinted gloss urethane finish, and an Indian laurel fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. A 3-ply parchment pickguard, knurled flat-top knobs and nickel-plated hardware complete the vintage look, along with period-inspired headstock markings.

Sound comes from a single Fender Designed alnico single-coil pickup at the bridge. A 3-position blade switch shapes the tone from that one pickup: position 1 bypasses the tone control, position 2 engages the variable tone control, and position 3 bypasses the control and adds a preset treble roll-off for a warmer, bassier voice. Controls are master volume and master tone.

The guitar has a 25.5" scale, 21 narrow tall frets, a bone nut and a head-adjust truss rod. It uses a 3-saddle vintage-style strings-through-body Tele bridge with chrome barrel saddles and comes strung with nickel plated steel .009-.042 strings. It connects as a standard passive electric guitar through a 1/4" cable to an amplifier.
