HC Bridge SRC

The HC Bridge SRC joins two AoIP networks and converts sample rate between them, so devices in different clock domains can exchange audio. It works with Dante at 48 kHz and 96 kHz, AES67 and ST 2110-30. The two network connections can go to physically or virtually separate networks, which gives a discovery and control barrier between two sets of equipment. Sample rate conversion can be turned off when it is not needed.

The unit contains two HC cards. Each card provides 256 Tx and 256 Rx channels at 48 kHz or 96 kHz, with 128 Tx and 128 Rx streams at both rates. Each card has a redundant pair of SFP cages that accept 1GbE RJ45, multi-mode fibre or single-mode fibre modules. A variant without sample rate converters offers more channels at 48 kHz.

Typical uses include a standalone converter with the serial audio looped by fibre between HC Link 1 and HC Link 2, a Dante-to-Dante split between OB truck and event networks, a 48/96 kHz bridge on one network, and a Dante to ST 2110-30 converter. Four fibre SFPs and two duplex fibre cables give redundant connections. It can be used with or without an SSL console.
