The CD-RW901 is a rack-mounted CD recorder for studio use. It records and plays audio CDs, supports CD-RW un-finalizing, and can also play back MP3 files. Playback modes include all, single, program, random and repeat, and a power-on play option starts playback as soon as power is applied.
Recording tools include dedicated analog input level controls, fade in and fade out, automatic track increment by level with a trim function, and a timed track increment that adds a track ID every 1 to 10 minutes. An automatic sample rate converter to 44.1 kHz can be switched off. For CD audio discs there is ±16% pitch control in 0.1% steps and a Key Original mode that changes speed without changing pitch. The display shows CD Text and MP3 ID3 tag information.
Analog connections are XLR balanced and RCA unbalanced, with digital I/O on AES/EBU and S/PDIF. Control options are the included wired remote, an RS-232C serial port, a parallel control port and a PS/2 keyboard input.
