Description
The 324ce is an all-solid-mahogany acoustic-electric built in the Grand Auditorium shape, which suits both fingerstyle and strumming. The mahogany top gives a warm, midrange-forward tone with a natural compression effect and a smooth attack. The slender Taylor neck keeps the playing feel relaxed.
V-Class bracing is used for volume and sustain, and the Venetian cutaway eases access to the upper frets. Cosmetic details include a satin edgeburst top, a firestripe pickguard, black binding and faux pearl gemstone inlays. The fretboard, bridge and peghead veneer are West African Crelicam ebony, and the strings are D'Addario XS coated phosphor bronze lights.
Amplification is handled by the onboard Expression System 2 pickup, which uses a behind-the-saddle design. The guitar is made in El Cajon, California, and comes with a Deluxe Hardshell Case. It can be special-ordered left-handed through authorized dealers.
