Allen & Heath Xone:23C

The Xone:23C is a 2(+2) channel analogue DJ mixer with 3+3 inputs. Each of the two stereo channels has independent level controls for its inputs, so up to four stereo sources can be routed to the mix at once. Both channels carry a 3-band isolator ('total kill') EQ, VCA faders, illuminated switches and a crossfader curve selector.

A analogue voltage-controlled filter (VCF) section offers low-pass and high-pass modes, frequency sweep and resonance control. An FX loop with send and return connections and loop switching lets a third-party effects unit be patched in, with its return passing back through the filter system. Monitoring includes a booth output with its own volume control, a cue mix control and 9-segment peak-hold meters.

The main mix output and the mic input use balanced XLR connectors, and a dedicated record output is provided. The built-in 4 stereo channel, 96kHz/24-bit USB soundcard handles playback and recording with DJ software; Traktor Pro 3 and Virtual DJ are supported and the mixer is DVS compatible. X:LINK carries power and MIDI data over an ethernet connection to Xone:K series controllers, which frees up computer USB ports.
