The X-TOUCH is a hardware control surface that maps the mixer and transport functions of a DAW onto physical controls. It has nine 100 mm motorised, touch-sensitive faders that follow automation in real time, and an LCD scribble strip above each channel that shows the track and parameter being adjusted.
For feedback and navigation it has 8 rotary encoders with LED collars, 92 illuminated buttons, an 8-segment LED meter per channel and an LED time code display. A large jog/shuttle wheel and tape-style transport controls handle common DAW actions, and buttons switch between fader banks.
The unit connects by USB or MIDI, and also has an Ethernet port for use over a wired or wireless network. It supports the HUI and Mackie Control protocols, so it works with compatible music production software.
