The 705 S3 Signature is a compact two-way vented-box loudspeaker. A 25 mm decoupled carbon dome tweeter sits in a solid-body housing on top of the cabinet, and a 165 mm Continuum cone handles bass and midrange. Flowport technology is used for the port.
Compared with the standard 705 S3, the Signature version carries an upgraded mid-bass motor system, improved capacitors, revised speaker terminals and a more open tweeter grille mesh. These changes were developed for the maker's 800 Series Signature models. Frequency response is 50 Hz – 28 kHz ±3 dB, and the speaker is rated at 88 dB sensitivity with a nominal impedance of 8 Ω (minimum 3.7 Ω).
The speaker is intended for use with an amplifier delivering 30–120 W into 8 Ω, connected through the rear terminals. It is available in Datuk Gloss or Midnight Blue Metallic cabinet finishes with a black grille, and is designed to sit on a separate stand.
