Dirt Transmitter Legacy Reissue

The Dirt Transmitter Legacy Reissue is a reissue of an early fuzz circuit, produced as a limited run of 1000 units worldwide and no longer in production. It uses silicon transistors, which give more gain and a grittier top end than typical germanium parts, covering a span from overdrive to fuzz while keeping the high end rounded.

Four knobs control the sound. Level sets output volume, Fuzz sets the amount of gain, and Tone moves between a mellow and a brighter, more cutting voice. Bias changes the voltage reaching the transistors: counterclockwise gives gated, sputtering fuzz, clockwise gives thicker and more natural fuzz, with the proper bias point marked at 5 o'clock.

The pedal uses relay-based true bypass switching with Flexi-Switch technology, so the footswitch can work as a latching switch (tap on, tap off) or as a momentary switch (active only while held). Because the relay needs power, no signal passes without it. It runs from a 9 V DC supply with a 2.1 mm negative-center barrel connector.
