UniFi UC5.2

The UC52 is the center channel of the UniFi 2.0 range. It is a 3-way, bass-reflex design in which a 4" aluminum midrange and a 1" soft-dome tweeter share one concentric driver, with a pair of 5-1/4" aluminum woofers handling the low end. The crossover points are 200 Hz and 2000 Hz, and the nominal impedance is 6 ohms.

The concentric driver is new for this generation: the tweeter has a wide surround, and the midrange uses a larger voice coil, a revised aluminum cone profile, a low-profile surround and a neodymium magnet assembly. The woofers use single-piece dished aluminum cones with oversized magnets, larger voice coils and extended pole pieces. The tweeter is described as coming from the maker's Adante series. Port tubes fire from the front.

The enclosure has thick MDF walls with internal bracing to reduce cabinet vibration, and a black ash vinyl finish. It measures 545 x 185 x 275 mm. It sits alongside the UB52 bookshelf and UF52 floorstanding models in the same series.
