The Nano Big Muff Pi is a mono analog fuzz, distortion and sustain pedal that shrinks the Big Muff Pi circuit into a small, rugged nano enclosure. It is stated to work and sound identical to the full-size NYC Big Muff Pi, delivering heavy distortion and long, singing sustain.
Three controls shape the sound: Volume sets the output level, Sustain adjusts the amount of sustain and distortion, and Tone sweeps from high treble to deep bass. A footswitch toggles between effect and bypass, with a status LED that lights when the effect is active. The pedal uses true bypass switching.
The signal path is simple: one input jack for the instrument and one amp jack for the output. Power comes from a 9V battery that is included, or from an optional 9.6VDC-200mA adapter that is sold separately. Current draw is 3mA. It was released in 2013.
