The Stereo Clone Theory is a re-creation of the original 1970s Clone Theory, a pedal known for an edgy chorus character. The circuit is analog, and two output jacks allow a stereo setup, so the chorus or vibrato wash can be spread across two amps or channels.
A three-position mode switch offers two chorus settings and one vibrato setting. Depth and Rate knobs each cover a wide range, from subtle movement to extreme modulation. A footswitch engages the effect or bypasses it, using a buffered bypass. The pedal sits in a compact die-cast chassis.
The pedal has a 1/4" input, a main 1/4" output and a second 1/4" stereo output. It runs on an included 9V battery and draws 14mA. An optional 9.6VDC-200mA adapter can be used instead, but it is not supplied. The unit first appeared in 2007 and the maker lists it as discontinued in 2024.
