The F3-12 is a front-of-room powered subwoofer built around a 300mm (12") multi-fibre cone driver in a rigid MDF cabinet. A DDX Direct Digital amplifier rated at 520W drives it, with DSP control that includes a Bass Boost mode (+3dB between 30 and 70Hz) aimed at home theatre LFE. The enclosure is vented with a large downward-firing port, and typical in-room low-frequency response is given as 28Hz (-6dB).
The cabinet sits on compliant floor coupling mounts. Control and convenience features include phase control, a 12V trigger, auto-sensing power on, and separate LFE and RCA inputs with their own filtering. The input filter is an 80Hz 2nd-order low pass, with LFE provision. Auto mute engages after roughly 10 minutes without an input signal.
For connection there are two phono inputs (left and right stereo) and one mono LFE input. The unit runs from 220-240V / 50Hz mains. Black Ash is the finish listed, and the model is shown in the maker's catalogue as discontinued.
