Description
This is an Explorer-shape electric guitar modelled on the 1984 version of the design. The body and set neck are both mahogany, and the body carries a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish in Ebony. The neck has a SlimTaper profile and an Indian rosewood fingerboard with acrylic dot inlays and 22 Medium Jumbo frets.
Two 80s Tribute humbucking pickups are selected with a 3-way toggle switch. Controls are two volumes and a master tone, hand-wired with Orange Drop capacitors. Hardware includes an aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge, an aluminum stop bar tailpiece, Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners and a Graph Tech nut. The truss rod is adjustable and there is no pickguard.
The guitar connects through a single 1/4" output jack. It is supplied with a Gibson hardshell case and a Gibson Accessory Kit, and is strung with .010-.046 gauge strings.
