ReoTube G2 is a single-channel preamp built around a real vacuum tube stage. It takes a balanced XLR microphone signal or a 1/4" TRS input and sends a balanced signal out through an XLR connector. A switchable 48V phantom supply powers condenser microphones.
Signal shaping includes an input gain control with LED metering, a saturation control for adjusting harmonic warmth, and an enhance control. A built-in limiter helps keep levels under control. A low cut switch and a phase switch deal with rumble and polarity problems. An analog VU meter with an orange backlight shows the level.
A 1/4" jack lets an external processor be connected. The housing is rugged aluminum and uses the maker's Reo series racking system. A user manual in English and drivers or software listed for Mac OS X 10.4 to 10.10 and Windows XP to Windows 8 are offered as downloads.
