Description

The № 519 is a streaming CD player that also works as a digital preamplifier and DAC. It plays standard CDs and MP3 discs from a slot-loading drive, files from network drives and USB storage, and music from embedded services including Spotify Connect, Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer, Rhapsody/Napster, internet radio and podcasts. It is Roon Ready and an MQA full decoder.

The converter is an ESS-based 32-bit Precision Link DAC with three selectable filters (Fast, Slow, Minimum Phase). The signal path is discrete, direct-coupled, fully balanced and dual-monaural, built around folded cascode gain stages. Clari-Fi processing restores detail in compressed files, with an adjustable intensity or bypass. A class-A Main Drive headphone output uses the main output circuit and drives headphones down to 32 ohms. Analog outputs can be fixed or variable, and a selectable 80 Hz high-pass filter supports subwoofer setups.

It connects through Ethernet and Wi-Fi, six digital inputs (XLR, 2 coaxial, 2 optical, USB-B), two USB-A ports for drives, and Bluetooth with aptX. Control is via a 5-inch colour display, metal remote, iOS and Android apps, a web browser interface, RS-232, IP control, triggers and IR input. The chassis is aluminium, and the unit is designed and handcrafted in the USA.
