Description
The MB58R 151 P is a single-speaker bass cabinet that pairs a 15-inch Markbass classic ceramic driver with a newly developed piezo tweeter. The P version is aimed at players who prefer a traditional speaker sound but want a much lighter cabinet to move around.
The enclosure is made from a lightweight material and construction method, which brings the weight down to 14.8 kg (32.6 lbs). The cabinet is rated for 300 W RMS (AES standard) at 8 ohms, with a frequency response of 40 Hz to 18 kHz, a sensitivity of 100 dB SPL and a crossover point at 3.5 kHz. A rear reflex port tunes the low end.
The cabinet is built in Italy and belongs to the MB58R range, which uses components designed in-house by Markbass. It is a passive cabinet that connects to a bass amplifier head with an 8 ohm output.
