The LP32 provides four independent banks of 8-channel ADAT optical I/O, 64 channels of USB I/O, 32 channels of AVB-TSN network I/O and a headphone output, 258 simultaneous I/O channels in total. Any input can be sent to any output or split to several outputs, and signals can be converted between optical, AVB-TSN and USB, including routing to and from a computer and other devices on the network.
A 48-input digital mixer with 7 stereo aux busses, 3 groups and access to 64 network inputs runs on 32-bit floating point DSP. Effects include reverb, EQ modeled on British analog console EQs, and compression modeled on the LA-2A. A full-colour LCD shows metering for all I/O, and the front-panel headphone output with volume control can monitor any stereo channel pair. Word clock input and output are provided for syncing with other digital gear.
The unit is controlled through a web app served from the hardware itself, usable from any browser on a computer, tablet or phone on the same network, including a touch-oriented Touch Console view. A standard Ethernet cable to a Wi-Fi router enables wireless control. USB 2 class-compliant operation works with USB 3 and iOS, and an included bracket kit joins it with other MOTU half-rack units. Audio analysis tools and AudioDesk software for Mac and Windows are included.
