Launchkey 49 MK3
49-key USB MIDI controller keyboard with 16 RGB velocity-sensitive pads, eight knobs and nine faders. It is aimed at producers working in Ableton Live and other DAWs, and it also runs standalone with a 5-pin MIDI output for hardware.

Launchkey 49 [MK3] combines a 49-key synth-action keybed, 16 RGB backlit velocity-sensitive pads, eight rotary encoders and nine 45mm faders. A 16x2 character screen, pitch and modulation wheels, transport, track navigation and Capture MIDI/quantise/click/undo buttons complete the surface.
It is built around Ableton Live, with control over functions such as Capture MIDI, track arming, quantise, click and loop. It is fully integrated with Logic, Cubase and Reason, and works with other DAWs such as Studio One and Pro Tools via HUI. Scale Mode, three chord modes, an arpeggiator and Strum Mode (added in firmware v1.1) help with melodic and harmonic ideas. The unit is NKS-ready.
The controller is USB bus powered through a USB B socket and can run standalone, without a computer. A full-size 5-pin MIDI output lets it drive external hardware, and four Custom Modes, set up in Novation Components, map the knobs, faders and pads to software or hardware parameters. A software bundle, including Ableton Live Lite, is included.
