The TX-NR6100 is a 7.2-channel AV receiver rated at 100 W per channel into 8 ohms (2 channels driven). It decodes Dolby Atmos and DTS:X in a 5.2.2-channel layout and includes AccuReflex phase matching for Atmos-enabled speakers. Four THX listening modes are provided: cinema, gaming, music and surround EX. Klipsch Optimize Mode applies preset crossover values for selected Klipsch Reference and Reference Premiere speakers.
HDMI inputs 1-3 and the Main and Sub outputs handle 8K/60 and 4K/120, with VRR, ALLM, QFT, DSC, QMS and eARC on the Main output. Inputs 4-6 go up to 4K/60. A Sub/Zone 2 HDMI output feeds a second display, and Zone 2/Zone B analog line outputs support multi-room listening.
Network features include dual-band Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, Chromecast built-in, DTS Play-Fi and Works with Sonos. Spotify, Amazon Music HD, Pandora, TIDAL, Deezer and TuneIn are built in. Bluetooth works in both directions: it receives audio and can also send it to wireless headphones. Voice control through Alexa or Google needs a separate smart speaker.
