Description

The PPC212OB is the open-back version of Orange's PPC212 cabinet. It has a straight front and an open rear, which lets the speakers project into the room with more spread and natural ambience than a closed cab. It is aimed at clean, rhythm and ambient playing, though it also handles overdriven tones.

Two Celestion Vintage 30 12" speakers are wired for a 16 ohm load and a power rating of 120 W in mono. The enclosure is made from 18 mm birch plywood and covered in vinyl, with a woven paper basketweave grille cloth, picture-frame edging, steel hardware and skid runners. It is available in Orange or Black.

Connection is through two parallel 1/4" input jacks. The second jack allows daisy-chaining to another 16 ohm cabinet, giving a combined load of 8 ohms. The cab measures 66 x 52 x 30 cm and weighs 23.65 kg unboxed.
