The fact.5c is a slim centre-channel loudspeaker that shares its drive units, precision tuning facilities and terminals with the two-way fact.3 and fact.8. Its Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) bass loading is tuned for vocal clarity and projection, with damping materials and extensive cabinet bracing inside the line to reduce colouration. Two front-firing ATL vents sit in the low-profile cabinet.
To keep the cabinet compact, the fact soft-dome tweeter was re-engineered with a smaller, higher-power neodymium magnet and a smaller faceplate. The drive units are joined by a 24dB per octave crossover network. Switches let the user adjust bass and treble response to suit room acoustics, cables and source equipment.
The speaker is voiced like PMC's professional monitors and is meant to match the fact.3 or fact.8 in a multichannel setup. Connection is through the rear speaker terminals. A 20 year warranty is available if the product is registered within 10 days of purchase.
