twenty5.23i

The twenty5.23i is a two-way floor-standing speaker and the mid-sized model of the twenty5i series. It uses a transmission-line cabinet design, with an effective line length of 2.4 m, to extend bass response from a relatively compact enclosure. Its frequency response is stated as 28 Hz to 25 kHz.

The bass driver is a 5.5-inch (140 mm) long-throw g-weave cone in a cast alloy chassis. High frequencies come from a 19 mm fabric soft dome, ferrofluid cooled and fitted with a dispersion grille. The crossover point is 1.7 kHz. Sensitivity is 86.5 dB (1 W, 1 m) with an 8 ohm impedance, and the recommended amplifier power is 25 to 150 W.

Connection is through a single pair of 4 mm binding posts on the rear, so the speakers work with standard passive hi-fi amplifiers. Each cabinet is 907 mm tall and weighs 15 kg. Plinth bars widen the footprint to 238 mm. A 20-year warranty is available when the product is registered within 10 days of purchase, subject to terms.
