The E1 Phono is a belt-drive turntable from Pro-Ject's E-Line, assembled by hand in Europe. It is supplied with tracking force and anti-skating already set at the factory, so it is ready to play once the belt and platter are fitted. Speed is changed between 33 and 45 RPM with an electronic switch.
The plinth is CNC-machined composite fibre, offered in high gloss black, satin white or walnut finish. The 8.6" aluminium tonearm carries an Audio Technica AT 3600 L cartridge, and the 300 mm ABS polymer platter has strengthening ridges to limit resonance. A silicon belt, vibration-absorbing feet and an acrylic dust cover with adjustable hinges complete the build.
The Phono version adds a switchable internal phono preamplifier to the standard E1, so it can feed line-level inputs directly. It connects via the supplied 1.23 m gold-plated RCA phono cable and runs from an external 15 V DC power supply.
