The MaiA S3 is a small stereo integrated amplifier built in a new S3 aluminium-style case. The larger housing allowed a revised circuit board layout with less electromagnetic interference. It delivers 2x 23 W into 8 ohms or 2x 40 W into 4 ohms and drives speakers through 4 mm banana plugs, spade connectors or bare wire.
On the analogue side there are three line-level RCA pairs and a phono input for MM, MI or high-output MC cartridges. Digital sources connect through one coaxial and two optical inputs feeding a Cirrus Logic CS4344 converter that handles 24 bit / 192 kHz. A Bluetooth 5.0 input with aptX HD supports wireless streaming from a phone.
A 6.3 mm headphone output covers 16 to 600 ohm headphones, and a variable RCA output allows a subwoofer or another amplifier to be added. The amplifier comes with a battery-powered remote, runs from an external 20 V / 3 A DC supply, and is offered in silver or black.
