The Exact is a moving magnet cartridge assembled by hand from two parallel wound coils, which are set up on custom jigs to form a working stereo generator. Each unit is tested and checked over two days against the parameters for the model before it is packed or fitted to a Rega turntable.
It uses a Vital stylus, a complex fine-line micro-ground profile cut from a rectangular diamond billet, with channel balance held to zero tolerance. Output is 6.8–7.2 mV and the recommended tracking pressure is 1.75 g. The body is yellow.
The cartridge attaches with Rega's three-point fixing, so it mounts directly on compatible Rega tonearms. The maker lists the RP3, RP6 and RP8 turntables as complementary components, and an English instruction sheet is available for download.
