Description

The SHP-1 is a pair of closed-back studio headphones built around a neutral, detailed sound. Its frequency response is intended to show problem frequencies early in production, so a mix translates predictably to other systems. The driver is rated at a high output level for undistorted playback.

The large circumaural earcups rotate and carry thick ear pads plus padding on the headband, which gives strong isolation in loud surroundings and a secure fit for long sessions and recording. The headband is reinforced, the weight is about 279 g, and the earcups have aluminium Reloop badges.

Connection is by a detachable cable with separate mini jacks at the earcups. The cable ends in a 3.5 mm stereo jack, and a 6.3 mm stereo adaptor is included for standard studio and DJ equipment. The manufacturer lists the model as discontinued.
